Dogstival fever: something worth catching
For there’s a new doggy gig in town and it promises to be simply pawsome. Dogstival is a two-day festival especially for dogs and dog-mad people at stunning Pylewell Park in the New Forest. It’s going to be hosted by Chris Packham, renowned for the BBC’s Springwatch and much more, on 18 -19 May next year.
Pylewell Park is proper posh – a grand 17thcentury house in a parkland setting with a view across the Solent. Just picture it: tree-lined driveways, fresh water lakes, manicured lawns and woodlands to explore. There’s even a private beach, which we think’s the icing on the cake…or gravy on the kibble. What more could hound or human wish for? Oh, we know – a treasure hunt! Watch your pooch sniff out the prizes hidden around the grounds.
We couldn’t be more excited at Walter & Florence HQ to be part of this doggy extravaganza. We’ll be one of many exhibitors to showcase our product collections over the festival weekend. For pug-inspired gifts for the home – all designed and made in England with a vintage twist – we’ve got it covered.
Besides retail therapy, you can savour food and drink from some of the best local producers, enjoy live music and let your hair (or fur) down at the vintage fun fair. And there’ll be all sorts of doggy activities – including aquatic sports – demos and displays to keep you and your dog entertained.
Dogstival has thought of everything. If the excitement gets too much for your furry friend, they can let it all hang out in the dedicated Happy Hound chill-out and pamper zone. Yes, really. Power nap, grooming sesh or re-fuel? Let your dog decide.
